ALBANY -- Capital Region native Ashton Holmes is a cast member of the new show Nikita, which debuts tonight on CW 15 at 9 p.m.

He plays the character Thom, a recruit eager to prove himself in the high stakes world of espionage.

Holmes, who grew up in Albany, is a star of both stage and screen.

He started acting at age 6 in a production of Guys and Dolls while attending Albany Academy.

His recent theater credits include the lead in the national tour of Rent, regional performances in A Christmas Carol and performances in London’s West End.

His film credits include A History of Violence, The Divide, Wind Chill and Smart People.

His TV credits include The Pacific, Cold Case and Law & Order: SVU.
