Rashad Barksdale 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

HUDSON, NY -- Former NFL defensive back Rashad Barksdale has organized the Run This Town 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament to be held March 3, 2012 at his high school alma mater in Hudson.

Current NFL players Antrel Rolle (Giants), Dustin Keller (Jets), Dion Lewis (Eagles), Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (Eagles), and Bernard Pollard (Ravens) are expected to participate in the two day event.

On Friday, March 2 there will be a celebrity basketball game between the NFL players and local notables such as Hudson HS grad LeRoy Collins.

The 3 on 3 tournament will be held the following day on Saturday, March 3.  There's a $40 per team entry fee before the February 24th deadline.  You can sign up at the Hudson Boys & Girls Club, Hudson High School, and Chatham High School.

Barksdale was selected in the 6th round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles out of UAlbany.  He appeared in six games for the Kansas City Chiefs later that season, making eight tackles.  Barksdale has since spent time with the Giants, Jets, and Cardinals without appearing in a regular season game.

He played last season in the Arena Football League for the Kansas City Command, with plans to rejoin the team next month.  Barksdale and his wife and child make their home in Indianapolis.
